The Greek word for “time segment”, or, Aionios was contrasted with Adios – meaning “infinity”. These two terms were used throughout Homeric times down to the 1st century A.D. Christian Church. As we introduce the term “Adion” for infinity in this lecture piece we will see what Aeon is not.

1. Colossians 1:19-20 — ὅτι ἐν αὐτῷ εὐδόκησεν πᾶν τὸ πλήρωμα κατοικῆσαι καὶ δι’ αὐτοῦ ἀποκαταλλάξαι τὰ πάντα εἰς αὐτόν (hoti en autō eudokēsen pan to plērōma katoikēsai kai di’ autou apokatallaxai ta panta eis auton) — through him to reconcile all things to himself, whether on earth or in heaven.

Y-R-H (יָרָה): Root meaning “to shoot” (like an arrow) or “to teach/direct.” Y-R-H conveys intentional guidance and is much broader than just the “law”.
