In parts 1 and 2 we did a brief glimpse into the socio-linguistic aspect of the New Testament *vocabulary*. A more complex study pertaining to parts 1 and 2 can be obtained by studying the Paideia of the Christian youth in the first and second centuries.

The libation bowl, known in Greek as phiale (φιάλη), emerges in the archaeological recordaround 2500–2200 BC during the late Neolithic/early Bronze Age in the Aegean. The earliest examples—clay, stone, and occasionally metal—come from Minoan Crete and the Cyclades islands. These were shallow, wide-mouthed vessels, often featuring a central omphalos (a raised boss) for thumb-grip during pouring.

Let’s start here in Ephesians 2: “Once (pote – ‘a *time when*) YOU (the predestinated child Ephesians 1:4) WALKED according to the age (AEON- era) of the world…of this accordance to the “archon” or “ruler” ***of the air*** and the ***spirit** NOW working in the sons of disobedience.

So strong are words when they are represented in their proper context and so damning when they are misappropriated. I am a believer and sold out that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I believe in the inerrancy of the Biblical Text, i.e., the Antiochus-Textus Receptus-Text.
